Chibok: Israel Sends Anti-Terror Experts To Join Search Forces
Israel has, on Tuesday, joined the help team by sending two anti-terror experts to Nigeria to join in the search for the chibok girls.
An Israeli security source revealed that the country has sent two advisers who have dealt in terrorist matters in the past to aid in the donation of intelligence to enable the search mission. He however told AFP that the pair are not currently serving as intelligence personnel for the Israeli government neither are they soldiers or officers or even part of the security system.
This action is followed by the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu’s call On May 11, to the President Goodluck Jonathan with an offer to help search for the school girls.
“We are prepared to help in locating the girls and to fight the cruel terror which has struck you,” Netanyahu’s office quoted him as telling the president. Jonathan accepted immediately.
“President Jonathan welcomed the offer by Netanyahu to send a team of Israeli counter-terrorism experts to assist in the ongoing search and rescue operations,” the Nigerian leader’s office said.
