EFCC Freezes Father Mbaka's Accounts. Orders His Arrest

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has allegedly frozen all accounts of well known Enugu based reverend father Ejike Mbaka,

Nairaland Reports that the reverend while giving his sermon narrated to his congregation how he went to withdraw money to buy food items for the poor masses that moved down from north because of the election, but to his surprise his cheques were returned.

Russian President's New Luxury Jet Sparks Outrage (Photos)

The Russian president, Vlamir Putin has purchased two luxury super sized jets for himself. Photos of the outrageously costly jumbo jet leaked online showing lavish white leather chairs, gold covered trims, king size beds, kitchens and conference rooms and plush gyms, all as a part of the Russian president’s gift to himself.

The walls of each plane are decorated with valuable paintings and although both planes are not ready yet, they are expected to be delivered by the end of this year. The first plane, the IL-96-300 jet, will cost the Russian taxpayers £44,210,558, while the second, a IL-96-300-PU, will set them back £61,231,589. The leaked photos of the interiors have, however, caused outrage among Russian citizens.

Breaking news! Germanwing co-pilot intentionally crashed the plane

According to breaking news report, the co-pilot of the doomed Germanwing flight deliberately crashed the plane on March 24th, this is according the chief investigator who just held a press conference explaining what happened. The prosecutor said the Chief pilot asked the co-pilot to take over the controls of the plane so he could go ease himself. While alone, the co-pilot locked the door and deliberately manipulated the flight monitoring controls to accelerate the descent of the flight. He refused to open the door of the cockpit to the pilot when he returned and began knocking frantically on the cockpit door. The co-pilot used a button to cause the plane to lose altitude and crash. He never spoke a word during the last 10mins before the plane crashed and didn't respond to air traffic control.

The prosecutor said there was no indication that the co-pilot was unwell. He has been identified as 28 year old Andreas Lubitz from Germany. He is not known to have any links to terrorism or extremists.

The prosecutor said screams from passengers could be heard on the recording in the final seconds. He said they all knew what was about to happen in the last moments and that all 150 souls died instantly.

(i) Saturday 28th March, 2015, 8.00am – 5.00pm only.
 (ii) Saturday 11th April, 2015 8.00am – 5.00pm only

Hoodlums On PDP Rally Vandalise And Rob Near National Stadium, Surulere [PHOTO]

Several sources have reported a mass robbery at Ojuelegba up until the National Stadium, Surulere.

The perpetrators were said to be members of the PDP rally train, vandalizing cars with guns and stealing.
Brilla FM’s Mighty George, was among the victims, and told of his experience.
According to George, over 30 cars were destroyed in the raid, with police intervention absent.

Man Beats Wife to Death in Lagos For Being Barren (Photo)

57-year-old Ikechukwu Anajekwu, is cooling his heels at the Kirikiri Maximum Prison for beating his wife, Obiageli, to death over her inability to bear him children.

The suspect accused his wifed of being behind his badluck which included his arrest for drug trafficking, imprisonment and his misfortunes in life.

According to the deceased family, Anajekwu had turned their daughter into a punching bag shortly after he came came from prison and it was on one of such beatings on January 19, 2015, that the lady slumped and died.

LASU Closed Down Indefinitely

The Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo has been closed down indefinitely following the inability of the government to meet the demands of its staff union including the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU),  Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and National Academic Staff Union (NASU).

Some of the demands of the staff unions include:  the appointment of an acting vice-chancellor to preside over the convocation that would have been held last week and right the wrong allegedly done by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Obafunwa’s including the victimisation of its members, withdrawal of certificates of lecturers and abuse of due process by the university’s management.
